``Via Regia Ukraine``

The International Festival of Cultural Diplomacy “Via Regia Ukraine” begins in 2016. Its name comes from the ancient transport and trade route, which was founded by the Romans and passed through eight modern European countries.

The festival is aimed at reviving the cultural heritage of Ukrainians, as well as those peoples living in Ukraine now. Diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine also take part in the event. They represent the culture of their countries.

The festival program includes several parts. Among them is a display of ethnic and historical costumes of Ukrainians and other peoples of Ukraine. Both designers and historical reconstructors are involved in this. The art program consists of ethnic dances, music and songs. There is also a demonstration of national symbols of different peoples, rituals, traditions, national cuisine and even martial arts!
